The presentation of the results refers to the development of the Project: bibliographical analysis, evaluation of the role of the protected coastal and marine areas as vectors of conservation and socio-economic development, analysis of the dynamics of the exploitation and development of renewable resources, analysis of the methods of access and the regulation of access to renewable resources, analysis of public policy, analysis of the governing of the CMPA, and the definition of the options of public policy. For each analysis, the reader may choose a brief message in a few lines, a summary, or the downloading of the synthesis documents.

The consortium considered that in research that is both inductive and comparative, the hypotheses of the research can only be based on quantitative and qualitative data, collected in the most irreproachable scientific manner. However, the study of the bibliography available during the first six months of the Project revealed the available data to be fragmentary or even nonexistent, most often not being representative (with some exceptions) or already old. In view of this principle and these results, the decision was made to carry out investigations during one year, in two forms: an investigation with heavy sampling, and a series of village monographs. The results are recorded in the 5 synthesis documents and the elaborated 30 working documents.
